Ordinary people are free to express their opinion, thought, share information, critics and what so ever. They can talk anything they want. They can suggest many things. They can compare the current ones and the old ones. They are the retired PTDs people.
A retired government servant will say many things about the current administration. Mostly the weaknesses and the inability of the currently in service to serve the needs of the people. They will compare actions of the government that fail to address problems the people have to endure with what should actually be executed as what they aspire. They claim the government neglects the people but giving too much faces to businesses and corporations. Retired government servants enjoy their post-service time by expressing their voices which they could not do so when they were in service.
Once retired, a person who once held a high ranking position in the government will start appreciate the precious moment of being a free ordinary people. He or she is no longer work for a boss, there is no more circular that limits their ability to speak, Official Secret Act is no more a ghost, and the tagline "Saya yang menurut perintah" becomes as if it never existed.
The night sleep is a peaceful dream. The mind is free of 'what else my boss wants me to accomplish tomorrow?'. Punch card before 8.30am is a history. Leaving the bed is a lazy thing to do but a compulsory ones for Muslims. Of course due to obligatory to the God, Subuh prayer! Nevertheless, it's a relaxing, peaceful and performed in no hurry plus more elaborate prayer as there is no traffic jam to beat.
The day felt long. Time spent with scrolling down whatsapp and telegram groups, gardening, ready newspaper front till the last page.
Ohhhh heave. I want to retire lah!!!
End of my lunch hour. Stop! Continue working......
