Read the following top 10 travel tips as your guides while you are in the country:-

1. Since it's a tropical country, ensure that you bring light clothing, comfy shoes, insect repellent and plenty of sunscreen;
2. Drug dealing and trafficking carry severe punishment;
3. Gambling is only permitted at Genting Highland Casino;
4. To drive in Malaysia, you'll need an International Driving Permit (IDP) but it is recommended that you take taxis to move about as it is easier;
5. You must have a certificate of inoculation for yellow fever if you're coming from infected countries. Vaccination for cholera and small pox are not necessary;
6. Always keep your belongings safely with you while you're out and about. Important document should be kept in your hotel safety deposit box;
7. Be careful with the authenticity of branded items as bootleg products are widely available
8. Tipping is not practised or expected at eateries. It's your prerogative if you do want to tip;
9. Have loose change handy with you at all times for taxis, buses and trains. Also, when taking a taxi, insist on using the meter; and
10. Most importantly keep hydrating!

Etiquette

The locals here are particular about etiquette simply because they are from different cultural backgrounds.

1. When visiting any home and places of worship, it's good manners to remove your shoes before entering the premises;
2. Certain places of worship have a dress code, so please follow instructions. Some might not allow photography. Just look out for signage;
3. When passing items (such as money) or pointing directions, it is considered polite to use the right hand;
4. When invited for a dinner, utensils are usually provided but it's customary for the Malays and Indians to eat using their right hand. The Chinese usually use chopsticks;
5. Purchase and consumption of alcohol is limited to patrons over 21 at non-halal establishments;
6. Cigarettes are sold to those age 18 and above sonly. Please look out for NON SMOKING signage, as smoking is prohibited or limited to certain areas in most airports, shopping malls, banks, hospitals, cinema halls and eateries;
7. It is courteous to say 'thank you' at the end of conversation;
8. Blatant public displays of affection (PDA) are frowned upon.

Tahukah anda bahawa telefon bimbit anda sedikit sebanyak boleh membantu dikala kecemasan.

Banyak perkara yang boleh anda lakukan, antaranya : -

 1) NOMBOR KECEMASAN

Sentiasa ingat bahawa nombor kecemasan untuk semua telefon adalah 112. Jika anda dalam kecemasan dan berada dikawasan tiada liputan untuk semua talian telefon bimbit yang anda gunakan, cuba dail nombor kecemasan 112. Ia boleh digunakan walaupun di kawasan yang tiada liputan dan lebih menarik lagi, ia boleh terus didail walaupun papan kekunci telefon bimbit anda dikunci ( Keypad lock )

 2) KERETA TERKUNCI

Pernahkah anda tertinggal kunci kereta dalam kereta dan kereta anda ketika itu terkunci dari luar. Mesti anda lakukan pelbagai cara untuk mendapatkan kembali kunci bagi membuka semula kereta anda. Jangan risau,telefon bimbit boleh membantu, tapi bagi kereta yang menggunakan system penggera (alarm) sahaja. Caranya, cuba anda hubungi seseorang yang berada di rumah. Minta dia ambilkan kunci pendua kereta anda. Kemudian pegang telefon bimbit anda dari jarak kira-kira 30 sm (satu kaki  dari kereta yang terkunci itu. Minta pula keluarga atau teman di rumah menekan punat ‘ ON ‘ pada kunci pendua kereta dan pastikan dia menekan dengan mendekatkan pada telefon bimbitnya. Pasti kereta anda tidak terkunci lagi, malah ia boleh dilakukan dari jarak beratus-ratus kilometer dari tempat kereta anda berada. Kerana itu juga, penting untuk anda menyimpan kunci pendua atau meminta orang yang anda percayai untuk menyimpannya. Penting juga penggunaan telefon bimbit dalam keadaan sebegini. Kaedah ini memang berkesan kerana beberapa orang telah mencubanya.

 3) KUASA BATERI TERSEMBUNYI

Mungkin ramai tidak tahu, telefon bimbit yang telah kehabisan bateri masih boleh digunakan dalam keadaan kecemasan kerana ia mempunyai fungsi untuk menyimpan bateri tambahan. Bayangkan jika bateri telefon bimbit anda sudah terlalu lemah atau mati sedangkan anda perlu melakukan panggilan penting atau berada dalam kecemasan. Telefon bimbit jenis Nokia didatangkan dengan bateri simpanan. Untuk mengatifkannya, tekan kekunci ‘ *3370# ‘ . Telefon bimbit anda akan berjaya dihidupkan semula dan skrin telefon akan memberitahu telefon tentang penambahan kuasa bateri sebanyak 50 peratus. Kuasa tambahan ini juga akan dicas semula bila anda mengecas telefon bimbit anda.

 4) TELEFON KENA CURI

Bagaimana jika telefon bimbit anda dicuri. Anda boleh menjadikan ia tidak dapat diaktifkan dengan menekan nombor siri yang terdapat di telefon bimbit anda, sila dail *#06# dan 15 digit nombor siri telefon bimbit anda akan tertera di skrin. Nombor ini adalah unik untuk setiap telefon bimbit. Catatkan nombor siri ini dan simpannya di tempat selamat. Bila telefon bimbit anda dicuri, anda boleh hubungi pusat servis telefon bimbit anda dan berikannya kod nombor siri tersebut. Mereka kemudiannya akan mengunci system dalam telefon bimbit anda dan sesiapa sahaja yang mencurinya pasti hampa kerana walaupun kad simnya telah ditukar, dia tidak akan berupaya mengaktifkan kembali telefon bimbit tersebut. Jadi, walaupun ia di curi, namun sekurang-kurangnya anda berpuas hati kerana si pencuri takkan boleh menggunakannya ataupun menjualnya.

iPhone & iPad Tips: iMessage

Do you know that you can sms, send photos and videos to iPhone and/or iPad users for FREE?

In order to do that, firstly you have to activate the iMessage!

Before do that make sure your iPhone/iPad has subscribed to data plan or you are on Wifi network!

Steps to activate iMessage are as follows:-

1. Go to Settings, scroll down and then tap the Messages;

2. Set the iMessage '"ON" by sliding the round button to the right. Wait for the activation completed. Please note that you have to have an Apple ID in order to activate the iMessage. Just key in the ID and password when it prompts you to do so.

3. At the Send & Receive menu, in addition to your phone number, if you want you may add multiple addresses (Apple ID) so that if the sender send the iMessage to this your ID other than your phone, it will be sent to your iPhone.

4. Follow the same steps for setting up iMessage on your iPad.

How to know if your iMessage has been successfully set up?

1. First open your Messages app.
2. Tap the "Compose" a new message icon and enter the recipient number, Apple ID or select from the Phone book.
3. Wait for a few seconds.
4. If your iMessage has been successfully activated and the recipient has activated their iMessage (means they are using iPhone or iPad), the message will change the colour from GREEN to BLUE.
5. If it is BLUE, means your text message, photo or video will be sent at no charge because it uses data package that you have already subscribed!
6. If it is GREEN, you will be charged the normal prevailing rates imposed by your Telco. Be mindful that MMS (photo or photo) may cost you a bomb!

So, spread the words. Tell your family members and friends who are using iPhone/iPad to activate iMessage now so that you can save more for future!!!

Hello everyone!

Are you a proud user of an Apple product? What do you have? What Apple product are you owning now? An iPhone or an iPad? How long have you been using them?

And the most important thing is "Are using the iPhone and/iPad at their maximum capabilities?"

I am a proud user of iPhone and iPad! My first Apple product was the iPhone 3G. I started using the iPhone 3G since August 2009 which I bought it when I was on official trip to the United States of America at that time.

Since then, I did not looking back anymore. Using Apple products such the iPhone has made me kind of been "tied up" to this Steve Jobs magical touches.

After experiencing the iPhone 3G, I started becoming one of the fans of Apple products. From the iPhone 3G, I keep updating my iPhone collections. Currently I am the proud owner of iPhone 3G, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5.

I am also the user of Apple's iPad. Started from the first experience of using iPad First Generation (iPad 1) in July 2010, I continue using and keep up myself with the latest technology of iPad. Among the iPad models that I have had in my possessions were the iPad 1, iPad 2 and iPad Retina Display (iPad 4th Generation).

From August 2009 until now (March 2013), my total experience of using Apple's greatest inventions the iPhone and iPad is more than 3 years and 7 months.

So what? Means I'm gonna share some very useful tips and tricks on how to fully utilise your iPhone and iPad to the max!!!....
